Why prefer INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY in inspection
1. Energy efficiency inspections. Studying the pattern and signs imaged by the camera reveals the absence of insulation in and around the interior wall and improperly installed insulation. It also shows air infiltration around doors and windows, around wall and ceiling penetrations (such as around light fixtures and electrical receptacles).

2. Moisture intrusion inspections. By careful analysis of the patterns clicked by the camera and with help of readings from other inspection tools, one can locate water leaks behind or in walls, floors, ceilings, and roof coverings.

3. Electrical safety inspections. The camera is sensitive to thermal emissivity which identifies & can locate defective or improperly installed circuit breakers, switch overheating, sparks/arc that could potentially cause a fire.

4. Structural defect inspections. Wall inspections with IR camera can locate certain structural defects in exterior walls. Such defects include absent support beams and headers, absent supports for beams and headers, and absent structural steel in masonry and concrete walls.

5. Flat Roof Inspection. There is always a very high possibility of Flat roofs to leak. Understanding the nature of these leaks, it really needs a very careful study to find the origin of the water intrusion using the IR camera a trained Thermograher / Home Inspector can mark area of possible water intrusion.
